Dakota Blue Richards
Dakota Blue Richards is an English actor who has been known for playing Lyra Belacqua in "The Golden Compass," as well as Franky Fitzgerald as part of the third generation cast of British teen drama "Skins". The actress has also been in the stage, performing in plays such as "Arcadia" as well as 'A Streetcar Named Desire'. Richards born in London, and a Londoner of birth, was raised on the Sussex coast. She took a couple of lessons in drama at her school but was mostly taking acting classes on weekends. The school also stayed closed for auditions. 'The Golden Compass' was her first on-screen appearance as an actor. Richards her performance was highly praised by many, despite the film receiving mixed reactions. The following year, she made her small screen debut on television in the film 'Dustbin Baby'.
